Little Tree…
… We rescued this ‘awful’ tree from one of the Elderlies yesterday. (I had bought it for her thinking it would please her. It did the exact opposite. No one’s fault. Well, my error definitely, in assuming she could read instructions. She no longer can, so a big learning all round).
We brought it home and it is now a happy tree. It’s a living one, so if we can keep it going it’ll be good for next year too.
I love a real Christmas tree.
Himself is a gardener and ‘feels’ nature. He has been unhappy about having a large living tree for longer than I have. A couple of years ago, at a craft fair, we saw an ‘arty’ wooden one. We very nearly invested in it (and it would have been quite an investment!). We couldn’t quite bring ourselves to part.with the amount required, but this year we wished we had. I couldn’t find the craftsperson who made them so I’ll have to put some effort in earlier next year to find him.
I had promised myself a rest and a sit down this afternoon.
As it happens I’m not as good at relaxing as I was the last time I tried. So I made some Christmas tree biscuits (better late than never) and made the Crispy Cauliflower Sesame Thing (couldn’t find my sesame seeds, I know they’re here somewhere!).
It was ok without sesame seeds!
