And today - at the Skate Park

Quick learners these girls. They weren't performing stunts but were making good movement around the skate park without falling. Note the protective knee, elbow and hand pads. Come to think of it, I could have done with one of those hand pads when I had my fall a few weeks ago. My thumb still hurts if I try to pick anything up, and there's a strange lump on the palm side of the joint!! 
The photo shows Julia and Johanna, with the twins and Ruby. Eric was there too with his new electric scooter but he was off playing.
I've added an extra which was posted on Facebook by Blipper Pamakasuzie (Pam Cleveland). It shows the photograph that became famously called 'Earthrise'. "On December 24, 1968, astronaut William Anders was photographing the surface of the moon from aboard the Apollo 8 lunar orbiter when he suddenly noticed something amazing."

I think this photograph certainly shows us how completely insignificant we are, living on our tiny planet.
