Table in Progress
Today is our turn to host a family celebration. There will be ten of us round the table. Tables in fact as I've borrowed a small one from a friend. I'm hoping that the two five year olds will help me to complete the table settings with a reusable cracker, pair of festive glasses, hat and a joke for all the guests and a chocolate Santa for everyone, including the hosts. Here's all the stuff waiting to be distributed.
I'm in the middle of making Persian Chicken for our main course. The nine year old asked for apple cake and her wish is, of course, my command. Just to make it more exciting for myself I decided to make it in a bundt tin, also borrowed from my friend. I was baking at 7:00am and I'm now organising the main course and the nibbles, bubbles and soft drinks which will be available from 12:30. We'll eat about 2pm then Flora has an appointment with the vet at 4:00pm. Her eye isn't looking too good.
I belatedly added an extra of the cake. It worked well and was tastefully decorated by the nine year old. The two five year olds whipped some cream as an accompaniment.
So that's my day and I won't be looking at blip for a good while.
