Pre Christmas treat

Backblipped December 27th

Dropped Phin and daycare and managed to get the bed changed and sheets washed before we left for Glasgow for a 2 night short break.

Made good time but arrived 5 minutes too early to check in so waited in the bar for our friends Stuart and Linda to join us. After we’d all dropped off our cases it was time to head to the hydro as we have VIP tickets to see Travis on the final night of their tour. The tickets gave us access to the sound check which was a great experience.

Sound check finished we headed up to the Finnieston bar for a pre dinner drink before enjoying delicious pizzas at Sano. Back to the hydro to find our seats before the two support acts. Junita sounded great but had a very small audience which swelled quite a bit further Hamish Hawk who did a very energetic set. Music was a bit different and split our group. I really liked him.

Travis were excellent and we had a great evening. They finished their encore with Mull of Kintyre by Wings and were joined on stage by their two support acts and the Red Hot chilli pipers. Walked back along the riverside to the hotel stopping in a pub on the corner for a couple of drinks. Great evening.
