Transport museum

Backblipped December 27th

A relaxed start to the day with breakfast at a riverside coffee shop. I enjoyed my fry up and the others enjoyed cheese toasters, spanakopita and a continental platter!

Fortified nicely we braved the wind and walked along to the Transport museum where we spent a couple of hours touring the exhibits. Very nostalgic. I loved the advert for fares to Canada from £2.

Walked over the newest bridge to Govan and took the clockwork orange (subway) back to St Enoch and the hotel. An hour to chill and we were off out again for dinner at 111 by Modhu. We took the subway up to Hillhead and had a pre dinner G&T in Òran Mor before a taxi to the restaurant.

We really enjoyed our 5 course total trust menu. It was great fun trying to identify the ingredients in each course, some were easier than others but it was a fun evening. Taxi back to the hotel and an earlier night than yesterday,
