Pre lunch walk..

It’s been a wonderful day and my heart is very full!

We’d done all the veg prep yesterday evening and were all ready for their arrival, then were told they’d be coming later. Some shopping in Camden needed to be fitted in first. So an ‘itchy’ wait settling to very little.

But it’s been brilliant. Very relaxed, lots of chat over the lunch table, and very few leftovers with the assurance that everyone had had plenty to eat. A comfortable afternoon and buffet supper round the log fire before they left for home around 8pm.

Milo was restless so he and I went for a walk and admired the decorations locally. Occasionally he stopped to look back for Matthew, then happily trotted along again.

We’ve cleared away and tidied up. Tomorrow we’ll get ready for the little people who are coming to stay. But for tonight, we reflect on a very happy Boxing Day.
