The "Alternative" Northern Lights!

I have, of course, recently posted photos of the Aurora Borealis (aka The Northern Lights) following my trip to Iceland at the end of November. This evening however we visited an "alternative" Northern Lights - a super light show for the festive season In Leazes Park here in Newcastle. Sons 2&3 plus their partners came with us, and Son#3 brought little Grandson A in his sling: his face was a picture of wonderment!

It was an excellent display which took us over an hour to walk round (admittedly that included a stop at one of the kiosks for hot chocolate): there was a great variety of exhibits including a brilliant laser show. However I've chosen this one to blip as it seems to me the most original, representing the branching hyphae of a fungal mycelium.

Many thanks to those blippers who discovered and liked the further day's worth of photos from my Iceland trip which I backblipped late yesterday; if you've not yet spotted them and would like to take a look they're here. Only two more days of backblipping left for me now.
