At the nature preserve

Today I took the hubby (and Sally Sasquatch) to Emerson Point Nature Preserve which is across the river from where my uncle lives.

This was a quick trip so I did not want to bring my big girl cameras. Which is why the bird photos are not great. I was happy to see a pair of roseate spoonbills, heron, egret and an ibis.

A raccoon waddled along the pond but I could not get a photo!

We walked some short trails as Jerry’s
sciatica is acting up and it was a struggle for him. Cutting our trip short so he can get to the chiropractor on Monday.

Sally was not happy about sand on her feet and in her hair but she liked the views! And the birds!

The weather was great for a day outdoors.
