The everyday still has to be done, no matter the season.  In fact because of the season, it being winter and with a few days very intense  rain having been forecast, just to add to the rain that has fallen every day for the past week.

So  my picture today is not very glamorous, but it does reflect the fact that this morning I was out on our track clearing the cross drains (all six of them plus several run-offs)  in the hope that at least some of the water would run into them and not gouge out runnels in the track itself, which has had a fair bit of a hammering in recent months largely  from the impact of  lots of heavy lorries and other vehicles involved in building Fiona's new house.

To be fair, the Wee House Company are committed to restoring the track once they have fully finished, and that will be welcome.
