Jack Duckworth

So, the mistake I made was to simply let the boxes pile up on arrival. 

It was only at the tail end of last week when I opened them up and tallied them against my Christmas present spreadsheet* that I realised that the main presents for Milly and Abi hadn't arrived. 

After a bit of emailing, it ruined out that there was a chance that one would arrived today or tomorrow but the other one is a lost cause. 

Thus the Minx and I ventured into Manchester today in order to do some last minute shopping. We started off with breakfast at Rowntrees café, which has been in the Arndale Centre for thirty years. When we arrived the waiter suggested we take the table "under Jack Duckworth". Wonderful. 

As was the food. 

After that we made our way around the Centre and then out along Deansgate until we'd found gifts we were happy with for Abi and Milly. It was a nice relaxed trip.
