City winter sunrise
When I glanced out of the window at breakfast time, I could tell that the sun was putting on a bit of a show. I grabbed my phone and ran up the street to snap the silhouetted trees against the sunrise. (Had it been a week day and I were still working, I might have captured the silhouette of Arthur's Seat, or Calton Hill or trees on the Meadows.)
When I finished the latest tranche of Mummy hazelh admin this afternoon, Mr hazelh and I set out to pay a visit to Bruce and Elly. They laid on a lovely selection of Soderberg buns for us, and we enjoyed a long chat, relieved that Bruce was well enough to join in.
On our way home Mr hazelh showed me the Fierce Bar on Rose Street. He has been raving about it since visited it for the first time with Jon on 2nd December (when I was with my book group pals in Glasgow).
We're surviving well on left-overs. Tonight it's carrot savoury layer for supper. Then we'll catch up on some more television Christmas specials that we missed earlier in the week, hoping that they are better than the dismal Outnumbered.
Sleeping apart worked well last night. Tonight I think we may do the same again.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; walking (10,565 steps).
