2024 Ornaments
We slept in - again, even later than yesterday. It was raining and cold and hasn’t gotten any better all day. We declared today a “no work” day and have almost kept it that way. I did clean the bathrooms, my bedroom and the kitchen but that was hardly any work. We’ve read, looked at blip journals and watched the birds. They are not happy I haven’t filled the feeders but they waste so much seed when it gets wet. We still have leftovers. Plus Renee made soup that we will pick up for dinner. My sister and BIL stopped by with Sugar in tow. They found hubby a bar stool. He wants it as a stand for the sun dial I gave him. They also found a nice set of silverware that we can use in the camper for only $5. It looks to be from the ‘60’s and well made. They found treasures for themselves also. Most people have collections. When we travel, we buy a Christmas ornament to remember the experience. This year, hubby brought back the center ball from Greece. We purchased the one on the left from the Grand Ole Opry gift shop in Nashville. Kim gave us the beautiful hand made birdhouse on Christmas Eve that she found on her travels. We have made so many wonderful memories over these last 25+ years and our tree validates it. How I would love to stay snuggled on my recliner until time for bed. But the Lord deserves my praise and prayers so we’ll take our showers, get dressed and head over to 5:00 Mass. Wishing you a warm, quiet evening. Stay safe. Thanks so much for stopping by. “Cherish the memories evoked by each decoration as they bring light to your heart this holiday season.”-Brian Hen
