Wells Cathedral

Coming down from the Mendip hills this morning the Somerset Levels below were shrouded in mist. Arriving in Wells we discovered the usual Saturday market wasn't taking place so we made a quick visit to the cathedral to light candles then headed to The Swan Hotel for warming hot chocolate, with a view of the cathedral. Leaving Wells the weather had shifted and as we climbed up onto the Mendips we entered thick fog.

We were only out three hours but I haven't a clue where the rest of the day went. It's been a very strange Christmas, passing me by in a sleep-deprived haze...
