Christmas at Dyrham Park

A morning outing to Dyrham Park to explore Christmas through the ages, with the house dressed with festive decorations from six different eras, from Tudor times right up to the 20th century. My main pic shows the Victorian era, other rooms and decorations in extras, along with a family group photo outside our country des res, and the first Snowdrops of the season! There were even Daffodils in bloom down by the lake!

Another three hour outing which seems to be just the right length of time for everyone. Glad we went early, by the time we left Dyrham was heaving; as early as we were, we still had to queue for half an hour for the mobility bus to get us back up to the car park. Everyone seemed to have decided to make the most of a fogless day, though there was still mizzle in the air. Back home it was on with the non-festive laundry etc.

Thank you for your kind stars for yesterday's Wells Cathedral blip. I've added an extra showing our view of the cathedral from our cuppa stop. Am having major IT issues, again, hopefully will be able to catch up with journals tomorrow.
