Pussy Willow Catkins

At last a day without fog or rain!

These catkins were shining brightly in the sunlight this morning….and upon closer examination they had lots of water droplets on them..presumably a hangover from yesterday’s fog!!  There are plenty more of them in the background.

The remarkable thing about these at the moment is that they are growing on willow trees that have been bent over during recent storms..see extra…so there must still be life flowing from the roots. These ones were conveniently just above knee height so I didn’t need to bend down much!!

I have blipped these trees before..when they looked much better!


After recently selling most of my 35mm camera gear, the proceeds have been burning a hole in my bank account..so yesterday I decided to invest most of it in a new MacBook…it arrived today and within just a couple of hours I had migrated from my old MacBook (an early 2015 model). I only had to update Lightroom and Photoshop to the latest versions..(the old ones we’re not compatible with the new MacOS) and it is now up and running.
