Golden Oak Leaf
It was a glorious sunny morning…still very windy though. This wind is getting very wearing now…we live about a quarter of a mile to the east of the A1 and the road noise this past few weeks has just been thundering. The relentless westerly wind blows the noise in our direction, and at this time of year the ‘sound barrier’ - a single row of hawthorn/hazel/blackthorn hedging - has no leaves to deaden the sound.
Had a four mile walk with the dogs in the sunshine, getting home just before a cloudburst! They have been asleep since then.
I liked the look of some oak leaves with the sun shining through, showing the internal ‘skeleton’.
