Merry Christmas 2024!

Wednesday
It was a late Christmas dinner, as Philip was flying in from Fort Myers Florida, expected at 1.30pm. In fact, he arrived at 1.15, which was good, and as you may imagine, there wasn’t much traffic on the roads. I was busy in the kitchen all morning, while the rest of them were playing games -Laura and Liam are great board game enthusiasts, and had brought a large number of games with them. Roger went off to pick Philip up, and we finally sat down to eat about 2.45 - the traditional British Roast Turkey and all the trimmings, followed by home made Christmas pudding. I was just so happy and thankful to have all the family around the table - Philip hasn’t joined us for Thanksgiving or Christmas for 3 years! After dinner, we opened presents, then cleared up the mess in the kitchen. In the evening there was Christmas cake and mince pies, followed by more games.
The lower left ornament I included in my collage, is a lovely ornament of the nativity, handed out to everyone as they left Church after service last night.
