A time for everything

Time for some exercise!

Thursday
After breakfast, Roger went along with Jen and Jason to pick up Jen’s new kayak from an outdoors store in nearby Milford. This was Jason’s Christmas present to Jen, and strangely they weren’t able to get it anywhere near them in Atlanta, but it was available here. She currently has a fairly basic 10 ft kayak, like Roger, Laura and I have, but some of the kayak excursions she would like to go on in southern Georgia or northern Florida, require you to have at least a 12:ft, if not a 14 ft. - they steer better and go faster. The one she has chosen, whilst longer, is little if any heavier than her current one. It took them longer than expected, since the only one they had in the store was a very bright green, but they said they had a red one in the warehouse which they could get for her, so they had to wait for a bit. Meanwhile, at home, my brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Judy called, and we had a good chat, and then Laura called her grandad and we all had a FaceTime video chat with Bernard and Roger’s sister Janet.
Having been missing for a number of days, the sun put in an appearance today, and we got out for some exercise in the afternoon, at Long Branch Farm and trails, all of us except for Jason, who stayed behind to read his book.
