Beauty is all around us.

Garden View and the cats.

The Feast Day of Saint Egwin.

So far here in Rishton, it is a lovely light and cold morning. There was a perfect orange pastel colour sunrise at 8am.

I hope to continue writing this journal later today.

Today Paul and me went to Horsforth in Leeds for a visit to Ben and Maria in their new house. Maria showed us all the rooms and what they are planning and it's all wonderfully exciting. The garden is lovely too with a useful garden shed, patio area, and several mature, well established shrubs. There are rhododendrons, azaleas and a magnolia. There is space for them to add a few plants of their choice and Maria hopes to have a herb garden near the kitchen door. There is already a rosemary.
The High Street in Horsforth has some excellent independent shops, banks three charity shops and many splendid eateries.
We were blessed with good journeys both ways and took the countryside route from Rishton through Colne and Bingley, Calverley and Bradford.
We got home in time for Downton Abbey and now I am watching a tribute show to late actress Maggie Smith, a very gifted woman.
Thank you for visiting my site, blip friends and have a good evening.
