Pudding

Photo: A Christmas cuddly pudding for sale at Tesco.

My last day in the office before Christmas mainly consisted of conversations with people who were only tangentially related to work or administration. I had an urge to file all those documents that litter a computer desktop.

At about 4:15pm, I sent out a note to the team, hoping that it wasn’t too late for the Polish crew, some of whom I won’t talk to again unless they end up engaged on another part of this project.

I went to Waitrose at lunchtime for a few things, but we decided to take a longer walk to Tesco in the evening. We were mainly going for the walk. In contrast to last week, when I was out of the house most days, this week has been much more focused on being home, and I need to get my steps in. Tesco seemed like a good idea. Plus, we were able to pick up a few things for tomorrow evening when we think friends will come back after our Christmas dinner.  We grabbed some Christmas nibbles - mainly things that can be heated or frozen if we don’t use them.  We failed to find Christmas tree-shaped crisps.  The main Christmas dinner vegetables were all offered for 15p for a bag. There’s a vegetable price war on.
