Dinner

We had nowhere to be for most of today. It was nice to have a lie-in this morning. The late morning and early afternoon were relatively slow. “Pottering” would be a good word for my mood. At some point, I thought I ought to use the day and was unsure what to do. I sat at the computer and ended up completing and submitting my tax return. I followed that up by completing a bunch of other finance-related tasks. It was an unexpectedly productive afternoon. I usually leave my tax work until the last moment, and I feel good it’s all done.

In the evening, we walked to Wimbledon, where we met friends at Wahaca for a post-Christmas meal. It was a lovely evening, with delicious Mexican food (I went vegetarian, and the mushroom burrito was terrific) and some nice conversation. I finally started to understand how the dice we bought are used in games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering.

We walked home for a cup of tea and an episode of Schitt’s Creek.
