I wish you All what is good and kind and amusing and naughty (if you choose) for this coming year

Liz invited me for drinks and nibbles (sorry Liz I don’t get out of bed unless it’s a 3 course meal with cognac and cigars - joke) but my own gaff is too cosy. Fire lit, chicken Cacciatore, candles and Ms Marple has just started. It’s called Nemesis and George Cole (The Minder) and Richard Grant (Whitnail) is in it. So I’m good thanks. The neighbours are doing fireworks and Prosecco at 12 - if I’m still awake, I’ll join them.

It’s a dreadful evening here. Lashing rain and windy. I’m just hoping we get our swim in tomorrow.
