Life's Little Moments

Goodbye, 2024

I thought it only fitting to do a selfie with Jax and I for my last post of 2024. And because I couldn’t leave well enough alone, I added some fireworks using Meta AI. Nothing special, but still fun.

This morning we had someone come over to give us an estimate on radon remediation . Because Jax likes to be all up in everyone’s business, I took him out for a drive and left Hubs to talk to the contractor. We were out a little more than an hour and did part of the trip with windows cracked so Jax could have a smell-fest. He loves car rides and sits very nicely in the backseat.

We have one more contractor coming out in 2 weeks for another estimate and then we will go forward with the project. Fortunately, the piping was installed when the house was built so it isn’t a huge job to remediate. A fan will have to be installed where the pipe goes through the attic but it should only take a couple of hours if all goes well.

Hubs and I went out for lunch and ran some errands before heading back home to take Jax for a walk. The weather is beautiful again today so we all enjoyed the time outdoors. And the dog is now curled up next to me, sound asleep.

We are planning a quiet evening tonight and it’s doubtful we will stay up to watch the ball drop in Times Square although I’m sure we will watch some of the lead-up on tv. I’m right where I want to be - safe and warm with my hubs, my cat, and my dog.

Happy New Year!
