Number 10

To mark the end of 2024, we went to number 10 for lunch. Arriving at 1 pm it was not too busy, but by the time we left at about 3 pm, most tables were occupied, as were the tables in the adjacent bar. I had my first steak of 2024, the chances are it will also be the last steak of 2024. This was accompanied by a very pleasant bottle of red wine.

A short walk to the Dutch Mill for a final glass of wine, the final glass of wine of 2024, ensured we were well prepared for the journey home. As we left both locations were setting up for a long evening  to come.

At the time of posting, about 9 pm, I can hear fireworks in the distance. No doubt there will be more later, whether I am awake to hear them is another matter.
