Tumultuous

The much promised stormy weather duly made its appearance overnight with gales and heavy rain most of the morning.

For a brief interlude in the middle of the day there were ragged glimpses of blue skies quickly obliterated by a driving squall. We managed to get out to be propelled around the reservoirs by gusty winds at our backs.

The small window of less dramatic weather had disappeared by the time I went for a run. I came back soaked.

It was still hard at it as we drove into Edinburgh for the annual Chinese meal with the Walkers Group at the Rendezvous near the Cally Hotel. Excellent meal and company. We hope to be joining them for a walk around the Kelpies on the 3rd.

In the absence of the street party and fireworks we came back up to Balerno for the bells here.
