Last day of the year

A Wonga Vine, Pandorea pandorana, climbs vigorously up the outside wall of our apartment building. Its flowers drape over our balcony railing, and this morning showed signs of overnight rain. Early cloud cleared and, from our balcony this evening, we caught glimpses of the fireworks display in Brisbane city.
