Silver Fern
We had daughter J with us last night, enjoying a quiet meal and talk. She also showed me how to get the Apps I want on the first page of my iPhone; I'd done something without meaning to which hid the clock app which has been a right nuisance. Now its back where I want it.
Today we have done a few chores, and otherwise read. Also, I managed to complete the Guardian cryptic from 31st December in three sittings. As Paul was the setter, I feel pleased; although he was not his most difficult.
In the late afternoon sun I went for a walk. Early on I saw a Ponga being blown around by gusts of wind, revealing the white under side of the fronds; a Silver Fern. The silver fern has long been symbolic of sporting teams from Aotearoa/New Zealand, and seemed a good subject for my first Blip of 2025
