Shopping day. We exchange kids gifts with our friends in London at the annual quiz party - and to save us lugging all the presents on the train, we tend to buy them last minute here in London for the most part.

While shopping, I slipped into a few kitchen shops in the hope of finding cutlery to match our mysteriously depleted set (we suspect a series of inattentive plate scraping instances may be to blame, either that or the dishwasher is eating forks). This one is pretty close and this pic (the only one I took today) is so I remember the brand.

Later, lunch in a pub, more shopping (this time for New Year’s Eve food) and present wrapping.

Out for the annual quiz where typically the kids team just beats us, and a famous victory for the grown ups thanks mostly to us paying attention to Radio 4.

Later, fab food, much chat and wine, and I may have forgotten that I was definitely not going to drink too much. Oops.
