Jenga at New Year

Liz and Nick (both in this picture) invited a few neighbours in for smoked salmon bagels and Bucks Fizz this morning. This breakfast party was originally going to be on Christmas Day, but Liz succumbed to the dreaded Norovirus.

The party was going well as people chatted and got to know each other. Then Nick produced the Jenga. It is amazing to see the lengths people will go to not to be the one who topples the tower. Liz lost this time, which made me the winner, but I toppled it the next time.

It was a lot of fun.

I went to see Margret. Today would have been Guy's birthday so that added to the poignancy. 

Margret walked with her Zimmer to see Jenny, who is a few rooms away. We were there for about 10 minutes when Kate arrived with her Dad, Dennis. He beamed widely when he saw Jenny. I hope she will soon be home with him again.

I'm sending good wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year to all my fellow Blippers. Let's hope it is a good one.
