Goings on at the bird bath

With the hot weather we have been having, I think it is important that there is some water for the birds so I made sure this bird bath in mum's garden was filled the other day.  Within a day it is being used frequently.  Yesterday I saw some blue wrens and today it was the red browed finches and white browed wrens.  I think the wrens were muscling in over the finches from the look of this.

I took mum out to lunch today.  Not sure how much she enjoyed it as it was rather noisy and I think she was cold as it was cooler today and the air conditioning in the club was fully on.  Still an outing has to be good.
