Woolwich docks
I took Maggy for a pootle around Clarkes Point this morning. It is a popular spot to watch the fireworks and so I was expecting to see a few revellers and maybe the rubbish left behind and was surprised that there were no revellers, only a few people fishing and the rubish was not as bad as I thought it might be. There was quite a bit of it about but mostly people had done the right thing and cleaned up after themselves. So here at the docks you can see LawConnect in the thumbnail which is at the harbour end of the dock (the line honour winners) and the big yacht in the foreground is Commanche who had to retire.
I spoke to R last night and they would have left Hobart at 5 am this morning as the weather looked the best to go then or wait another 6 days. I doubt they will be back before the weekend as they are going to spend a day or so in Eden.
Back home and the community nurse arrived to change mum's dressing. She was not the regular one who is terrific.
Then it was wash mum's hair, change bedlinen of hers and my beds and then do five loads of washing. I have to say with the warm temps we had today all dried very quickly. Not much else achieved.
