Baby It's Cold Outside
A fabulously ice cool day, seasonal, with blue skies.
It was the perfect day for the first New Year walk. This ice was in the gutter, the patterns reminding me of some 60's groovy music sway.
The cold air caught the back of my throat, reminding me to breathe through my nose. I think as I get older, I do that less. My jaw loosens too quickly, and I end up breathing through my mouth.
I came home and read my book. I rarely read through the day. It felt good to listen to my sleep deprived body telling me to sit and rest.
Later, I did some Prana yoga, following up the need to breathe deeply in through the nose and out through the mouth, making as much noise in the exhalation as you wish.
I have had only one chocolate today. I think I'm ready for restraint, a bit if order maybe. Hello New Year, I'm ready for you.
