Birthday Celebrations!

I never expected to be filmed on my birthday! I had the camera pointed at me and I told my story. No big deal about being 73! 

I and any other villagers had been invited up to the castle again to have a group photo taken by ITV Border Television about the success of the BAG. Our Bus Action Group had pestered enough over 2 years to regain a bus service through our village.

As it happened the crew wanted to interview us about our need for a bus. We didn't have to say anything but I decided to tell them about my younger days in the village, when left without a car, I used the bus to get to Keswick for work and back. I stressed that families shouldn't need to have 2 cars for both partners to get to work in different directions.

It wasn't broadcast tonight, maybe tomorrow, or Monday.
