Run! Cardinal, Run!

The Gambel's Quail wasn't really after this Northern Cardinal but he was really moving fast! In fact, the entire Quail family was zipping by (I couldn't catch them all) running right past Mr. Red Bird.

It was a pleasant evening and I went out for a walk in the neighborhood around sunset. The area was brimming with Quail families, all sorts of birds and several cute little cottontails.

I think I'll go for evening walks more often. Lots of folks out, too. Might be a chance to get to know some of my neighbors. I've lived here for over six years and I know the residents of only three other houses.

Maybe I'll even pick up my mail more often.
