Happy New Year

There have been years in the past where I may have actually taken the picture I posted - however this was sent to me by James who is in Italy skiing.

The sun is shining and the snow looks good so I am hoping that he is having a good time and not feeling too sad?  Aimee loved skiing and always said that it was the one sporty thing that she was better at than him!!

Our day was a bit meh!  I had promised myself that I would accompany OH to the care home to see MIL.  Oh my word............what a moaner!!  I walked out at one point and became sad and emotional at the thought of her moaning and complaining and living until she is 90 .........when Aimee was only 34 and didn't have a horrible word to say about anyone?   I was trying to be understanding and put it down to her age and circumstances and maybe a bit of dementia?

Horrible weather so we didn't do anything else - just a bit on the computer while OH watched football.
