It has taken until the last day of our stay for me to take a longer walk out beyond the Links and along the shoreline, and then back via the Golf Course.... And today, everything was slippery underfoot, so to describe the walk as a real pleasure would be an exaggeration. Anyway, it was good to stretch my legs even if a lot of the time I felt like I was scuttling along like a crab. Anyway, it's always good to see the Sutherland coast from the south side of the Dornoch Firth. Some time in the summer, I must head further out in that direction and truly explore the space.

On the way back, just by the Golf Club, I met C and D and their spotty dog. I'd missed C at swimming this time, as I think the only times she has swum have been since new year at swims I haven't been able to make. It was good to catch up as we walked along, as they headed back to Shandwick House.

For the rest, I did a few things which are preparatory for going away, such as depositing the bottles at the bottle bank and filling up the car with fuel. It took a while to get the snow off the car sufficient to be able to drive it.
