It was extremely slippery on the footpaths and after S helped a lady who fell on her back we decided that avoiding any tarmac or paved paths was best. A walk along the beaches between Gullane and Yellowcraigs on sandy, stony or rocky terrain and tracks through fields to Dirleton seemed ideal with only a short walk along the road. The tide was out so we were able to walk on the sand for a considerable part of the way and the sun shone for much of the time. It was good to be out and so peaceful in comparison with the busy traffic later at Kinnaird Park.to find a present for a new baby.
