End of a year

I got beds ready for our ‘guests’ tonight and headed off to work. It was good to work. Almost a relief.

Back in time to greet HatBox and SkyeMan, our LondonLass who’s arrived for NoaNoa, Welshman and Dot.T making 9 of us.

We started with nibbles and mulled wine before Elbows pulls out some Fizzy Sloe Gin he bought earlier and Dot.T rolls out the Jagerbombs she’s had since her 21st birthday. It set a fun atmosphere quite quickly and we played a game or two before heading out to Ally Pally by train, where DougsJB met us too. We ate a memorable curry and walked out well before midnight to watch the fireworks over London from the top of the hill.

It took us a while to find just the right spot but it was worth it. There were lots and lots of people doing the same and it was good fun. Some silly billies were letting off fireworks around us but the police were on it. We’d do this again. We’ve often hosted parties and not ventured into London.

Back by 1.30am I think but not in bed until after 3am. Everyone wanted to watch the fireworks again, up close on TV.

I think blip is going to tell me it’s a blip anniversary today. But it’s actually tomorrow. I confused things back then by accidentally back blipping before I knew what I was doing. Oops.
