Grange in oil
Feeling like I had been a bit lax on my end of the unspoken blip code, so I caught up with a lot of fellow blippers this morning.
There were some lovely stories and lots of Happy New Years, but good lord there were also some shocking updates! So I wanted to send positive thoughts and electronic hugs to all those who need them including certain residents of Grange over Sands, which is where we found ourselves this afternoon.
We had some company in the form of our friends and neighbours as our respective children were keen to try out various footballs, skateboards and hoverboards. It was a very pleasant if chilly walk along the prom to the frozen football pitch and icy skatepark, but we made it and the children seemed to enjoy themselves (mostly).
There was a brief rain shower while we were there, which gave the sky some fantastic oil painting type colours.
Then it was back to the van to warm up and gather some stuff for a tea of burgers and fries at mine, which was also fun and gave us all time to chill out and catch up with each other.
By the time it was time to part ways it was getting quite late, so the wee ones were in bed not long after leaving me to enjoy the finale of Presumed Innocent.
Cracking day.
