After the frost...

...a still, calm day of leaden skies.  Rain/snow has been forecast but as yet it is just grey and dry and the sky is holding on to its bounty.

I took this photo on the coastal path walking around Thorney Island where there are glimpses through the reeds of the wild birds. Ornithologists enjoy this area and seem to sit for hours, even in the perishing cold, hoping to see something elusive. 

People appear to be taking down their festive lights today. I could no longer find Rudolph at the marina and there were fewer to be seen in front rooms  on the walk home in the dusky darkness. Hope your weekend is going well so far everyone.
