Needs Must

I walked in to town mid morning for a newspaper, once the temperature got above freezing. There were surprisingly quite a few people around, given the weather. Back home I topped up the bird feeders before possible snow tonight. I got a photo of this robin on the sunflower heart feeder, I'm not sure I've seen a ground feeding bird on a hanging feeder before. Then a couple of minutes later I saw a dunnock visiting the hanging feeder, another ground feeder. Clearly they needed the food and changed their behaviour accordingly. This afternoon I took my decorations down and boxed them up. As last year, I'm leaving my xmas tree up during January without decorations as a 'winter tree' light.
