Blue Angel

Brrrr, it’s cold and blustery today. I was not properly dressed when I stepped out to fill feeders and add water to the heated birdbath. Six gray squirrels leapt out of the lilac trees all at the same time, rushing off to perceived corners of safety in the yard. It’s something to see. A lone red squirrel hid under the car, eventually settling on top of the front tire. All stayed near enough to observe my activities but once they sensed I was inside for good, they returned to their familiar spots • A flock of bluebirds descended for fresh drinks and crunchy mealworms, with a little peanut suet on the side. A feast fit for feathered kings and queens, and angels • Happy Weekend, Y’all! • Peace & Love
