Production line
Thank you everyone for your stars and hearts and lovely comments for my 3rd Blipversary yesterday, which were all much appreciated.
I’ve been in mild panic mode today, because the Atrium café re-opens on Monday and my portion of the card stand is totally empty. I took all the remaining stock home just before the café closed so that I would know exactly what type of cards I needed to make over the holidays to ensure that there’s a good selection ready for the new term. Until yesterday the rate of production had been very slow, but today I had to get my skates on.
So there are actually 30 cards in this photo, which may seem a lot, but they won’t look much when they go in the stand. That’s because there are just six different designs here, each of which will be stacked four or five deep on the card stand shelves. To those I will add the ones left over from last term. However, my portion of the stand has space for 22 different designs, so I need to keep making as fast as I can. Fortunately my mojo has returned and I’m thoroughly enjoying myself.
As well as the cards, my photo shows a little cardboard ‘carrier bag’, a large ‘match box’ and a ‘card caddy’ all of which I have printed, die cut and embellished. Inside the match box are stars which I’ve punched out of gold card. These are going to be stuck on one of next year’s Christmas card designs (sorry!). The card caddy is a post-Christmas purchase, second hand on eBay. I’m going to investigate the possibility of putting a handful of cards inside a decorated card caddy and wrapping it in cellophane to be given as a gift.
See, I told you I’ve got my mojo back!
