One For Sorrow

This lone magpie, which I shot through the window, has been visiting the front garden for a while. I am sorrowful as it has a distorted and useless leg. I think it uses its tail to help it balance when it is on the ground. I'm sad for it as it is always on its own and is very wary of the other birds. Thank Goodness it can fly.

I put a pair of tall aluminium steps in the area where I feed the birds and will put some tasty tit bits on them for it in the morning out of Mish's reach. .
