Keeping Warm

It’s felt cold today. The weather station said 5 degrees but there was a wind chill which made it feel cooler.

We had our usually sociable morning dog walk, catching up with various neighbours and villagers that we met on our way. Then it was home for a hot drink and to make soup for lunch.

Later I finished pruning the vine at the allotment. I needed to take my long handled pruners as some of the stems were too thick to cut with my secateurs. It’s finished now and I think I’ve made an okay job of it - I’ll find out in the spring/summer.

It’s raining hard outside now and it’s around 3 degrees but due to get much milder by morning.
