New Years Day

Richard to Treliske took up the morning, returning him home, Richard being Richard, wanted me to stop for coffee but I convinced him that following ‘invasive’ treatment he needed to sit quietly with his feet up and recover.
Home for me where I made my own coffee before setting off for my walk with Paddy, intending that the first one of this new year was a long one. Going through the bottom section of the ‘old’ cemetery I saw the new seat and took the weight off my feet for a while. Reading the attached plaque I realised that I knew Todd from the Veterans Breakfasts. It turns out that this was a 50th birthday gift from his wife, it’s lovely.
Very peaceful and in the perfect spot.

Our walk turned out to be a little over 5.5 miles, the fire was lit we both dozed on the settee.
What better way to kick off 2025
