Last Day Of The Year

The duck reminds me of this year, on the surface all went well, below the surface lots of effort to make it so.
I found this duck, along with a whole lot more, sitting on a branch just clear of the water at Swanpool, I guess they sense the storm that’s on its way.
The walk over we got ourselves set for the evening, our days of “down town partying” are gone but we enjoy our now quieter evening “seeing out the old & bringing in the new”.
Several G&T’s in we looked at the Hootenanny on TV but instead opted for the Sophie Ellis-Bextor Disco, turned out to be a good choice.
Mrs S, Sam and I saw the New Year in together before I headed up first, early start tomorrow.
