Someone Special

Last day of the Heartfreek July Challenge!

This is not a recent photo of my Mum with Blaine, it was taken on one of her visits from the UK to South Africa around the time that Aiden was born. (I have taken more up-to-date photos of her since then, but since arriving in the UK, I have never had any of my photos printed - so this is a reminder that I need to get some printed!!)

She is someone very special, not because she's my Mum and does all the things a Mum does for her children, but because she does so much for others too, she's someone very special to a few different people, and without her in our/their lives, life would be very different for all of us.

I'm so glad to have moved closer and to have more time with her. I left home at a very early age, and then she left South Africa while I was in my early 20's, so apart from the daily emails back and forth and her yearly visits back to SA to see me, we have never really got to spend that much time together.
