The Long Rehearsal Afternoon
We had a pretty lazy start before eventually arising to witness distinct lack of Amber-warning levels of snow. Hell, it wasn’t even Yellow!
We consoled ourselves with a late breakfast featuring some pain au chocolat and then pottered about before I dropped the wee ones off with my parents and then headed down to rehearsal.
It was a long afternoon as we just about limped our way through a full run and the director brought the teccies in to try some scene changes. Credit to our AD for the photo here, although I’m not entirely sure what is happening with my face - the absence of makeup and the presence of costume is not the most flattering of combinations!
Can’t say that I was feeling particularly well at the start of the day, but after that I was shattered and toddled off home to collect the children (late) and have some takeaway Chinese food to finish with, which was rather welcome.
The Panto is looking good though and we have to give Ethan (Dad’s stand-in) his due as he is basically word perfect despite only having the script for two weeks!!
Trying not to think about being back to work tomorrow…
