Boots lift…

About 9 months ago Boots lift gave up the ghost. There were problems finding the spare parts needed and at one time they thought they would need a complete replacement. But I heard recently that they’d finally managed to find the needed bits. That ‘s great except that a couple of months down the line and still no lift! Our Healthcare Group has a town surgery upstairs and not everyone finds it easy or even possible to walk up and down stairs so have had to use one of the main out of town surgeries which means the town surgery’s convenience is not at all convenient to some!

And today I have an interesting fact for you that I spotted in the Guernsey Press today.
Why is a quisling so called?
They are called after Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonssøn Quisling who was a Norwegian military officer, politician and Nazi collaborator who headed the government of Norway during World War II
